Walking the sidewslks of any city in Southeast Asia is an adventure. Here, sideways are for anything except walkinG. Their used mostly to park scooter, Motorcycle, Bikes. And if their not being used as parking spaces, the restaurants have miniature children’s tables and chairs- typically filled with customers.

In in the end, you walk in the street. Jumping to the sidewalk whenever a short opening appears. An adventure. Cross streets with authority or your in for problems. Be steady, don’t pause, keep moving.

Not sure, but this idea of using sidewalks for foot traffic doesn’t seem to have caught on here. Must be a western thing.
